I hope this video doesn't offend any one...we watch this show called The Soup on Friday nights. All the guy does is show a bunch of TV clips and make fun of them but James and I usually laugh pretty hard. These dance moves were pretty awesome and I recall practicing similar moves with my brother Spencer while watching Michael Jackson videos. Hopefully Spencer can learn some of these moves.

Not too shabby...
This week has been crazy for both James and I. James started his new job and I was really busy printing stuff for my project. James was really nice and came to the letterpress almost everyday to help me make plates, cut paper, and learn how do perforation on the press. Sometimes I feel like a slave driver but I think James enjoys the letterpress projects as much as I do. He is quite a good printer himself- probably because he has such a good teacher.
Thursday was my 24th birthday. James had class at 7 am and class until 9 pm so we decided we would save celebrating for another day. He did go buy me some Einstein bagels at 6:30 am before his class which was VERY nice of him. Probably the highlights of my day were: singing over the phone by my nephews Andrew and Spencer, a phone call from my niece Kate, and the premiere of The Office. I also received an awesome b-day/early graduation present. I actually got it about a month ago because it was on sale then and it would have been hard for James to hide it in our already too full apartment. I love it. Here it is...
I have to say that I have coveted this item for quite some time. Thanks to James, my parents-in-law, and my parents who went in on the gift.
Overall we have had a good + productive week. James likes his new job a lot, school is going pretty well for both of us, and my final project is going smoothly so far.

where is my mind part II
My siblings and I all have a tendency to get thinking about something and become totally immersed. I think our driving is usually the most affected (although I do it walking too and sometimes run into things). We drive places without remembering any part of the trip or go on auto pilot and end up some where we didn't mean to go. I pretty sure James has this ability to get lost in thought as well, he is just coordinated enough to drive and think at the same time. Anyways, this past week my absent mindedness has reached new levels. It has crossed the line. Today I came home from running some errands and realized I had not brushed my teeth this morning. On Friday I forgot to put on deodorant and didn't realize it until two hours into work when I noticed that the bad smell was me. The hygiene part of my brain has apparently been taken over by other thoughts (i.e. my art projects). GROSS. I want my brain back.

Farmer's Market SLC
I love Farmer's Markets. I used to go to the Borough Market in London on Saturdays for lunch and cheese samples and ever since then I have been hooked. I enjoy the atmosphere and I love to see all the beautiful food. We had never been to the one in Salt Lake before so we decided to make a trip up there and check it out. It was no Borough Market but we bought some peaches for cobbler (which I think was a hit at our ward dessert night) and ate some good tacos. Plus we got to see our friend Becca two weekends in a row.

Becca getting a few samples...I think we all got samples at
every peach stand trying to decide which were the best

New Job
James got a new job today! He has been working as a handyman of sorts since last January and has loved it but he decided some other kinds of work experience would be good too. He is going to work at the Rural Housing Development Corporation as an intern. We are both really excited about the opportunity. Good work James!

where is my mind?
Today I skipped class. Not because I had something urgent to finish or because I didn't feel like going up to campus. I skipped class because I forgot that I had class. I was on campus cutting mats for my framing class wondering why I had so much extra time. Oops. James told me that's what seniors do. If that was the case I should have started skipping class two years ago.
