A few months ago I realized that I have not seen my baby photo album in a very long while. What spurred this realization was my desire to find my "beaker" baby photo. Apparently my siblings called me "beaker" because my hair stood straight up in the air. My darling niece Anna was born with quite the poof of hair as well and I wanted to find the picture for comparison. After searching my parents house several times I was very distraught that I could not find the album...the record of my childhood was lost! However, last Sunday James and I went up to Midway and with new resolve I searched again. And I conquered. The sad part was that all the pictures were there except for one...the "beaker" one. There was a caption that said "mere with wild hair" below an empty hole.
Although I did not find the photo I did find some other treasures including my journal from kindergarten. In this journal I wrote my three wishes: long hair, a bunny, and a barrel of gold. Today I would like to edit my wishes slightly. I would still take a barrel of gold and a bunny but I'm gonna go ahead and replace long hair with a new wish: to be photogenic. Far too often it is my inability to open my eyes that ruins a photo. However looking at family pictures I believe it might be a genetic thing so I might as well embrace it and apologize to future generations who might inherit this wonderful gift.
at least the background is pretty
like father, like daughter
It makes me feel better when James doesn't look so great either
so far it looks like there is hope for the next generation

Mere! I didn't know you had a blog... I just saw it on Facebook. I love this post, it's hilarious! No worries about the pictures though; my friend's mom said photogenic is just a way to say someone looks better in photos than in real life! hahha

HAHAHA! Meredith. Hilarious. I never noticed that about you and Jerry though. Well, I know you in real life so I think I know better.
